Neuro-Oncology Interest Group
The Neuro-oncology Interest Group aims to connect with clinicians and researchers interested in the field of neuro-oncology and paediatric cancer survivorship. We hope to provide opportunities for professional development, collaboration and research translation to improve the management and quality of survival of childhood cancer sufferers.

Dr Cinzia De Luca
CHAIR
Dr De Luca is the Psycho-oncology Team Leader and Clinical Trials Coordinator (Neuropsychology) at the Children’s Cancer Centre, Royal Children’s Hospital (RCH), Melbourne. She contributes to psycho-oncology research as a senior clinician and senior research fellow with the Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI). Within these roles, she oversees the neurocognitive and quality of life components of various international clinical trials and directs local research on neurocognitive late effects, brain imaging and genetic studies in brain tumour and leukaemia populations. Dr De Luca has a particular interest in early intervention and rehabilitation models to target neurocognitive late effects and quality of survivorship. In addition to her role in oncology, Dr De Luca contributes to several groups studying healthy cognitive and brain development and looking at both neural and genetic correlates to these processes.

Dr Erin McKay
SECRETARY
Dr Erin McKay is a Clinical Psychology Registrar and Turner Clinical Impact Fellow based at the Turner Institute for Brain and Mental health, Monash University. Erin completed her PhD (Clinical Psychology) at Monash University. Her research examined social and emotional difficulties in adolescents with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. She is also a qualified Youth worker with over 10 years’ experience working in the child protection and youth justice sectors in both case management and leadership roles.
Erin’s clinical work and research interests are centred around understanding and treating the functional difficulties experienced by young people with ADHD and other disorders. Erin’s current research looks at understanding the diagnostic complexities of adolescents with ADHD, and developing treatment recommendations for this cohort.
